November 19, 2008: Patrick Ciccarelli, President and CEO of Varsity Technologies, will present at the California Educational Technology Professionals Association (CETPA) annual conference in Sacramento. The presentation will explore the latest strategies for providing the highest availability in IT infrastructure for schools and school districts. These new solutions also offer opportunities for sustainability by lowering equipment, HVAC, and power consumption in the data room.
October 13-18, 2008: Patrick Ciccarelli, President and CEO of Varsity Technologies, will speak on Moving Beyond Green IT: Corporate Social Responsibility For Good and Profit at the Ingram Micro Venture Tech Network conference in San Diego. This member to member presentation will cover strategy on marketing sustainability and rebranding around corporate social responsibility (CSR). Included will be examples of sustainable practices, potential markets for expanding business, and the importance of developing CSR in your business.
October 9, 2008: Patrick Ciccarelli, President and CEO of Varsity Technologies, will present at the Green California Community College Summit in Pasadena. Designing IT systems with energy efficiency and life cycle management in mind is an important strategy for business capacity and continuity. The presentation will explain how new technologies can be leveraged to reduce costs and lessen environmental impact.
October 8, 2008: Varsity Technologies will participate in a volunteer event at Larkin Street Youth Services Center. The center is the single provider of comprehensive services for homeless youth in San Francisco. Its programs include housing, health, education, technology training and employment.September 2008: Varsity launches a YouTube channel with a video that highlights a long time partnership with Ingram Micro. September 2008: KQED selects Varsity Technologies to design and install their wireless network. KQED provides public media and educational programs that inform, entertain, educate and engage adults and children throughout Northern California.
August 2008: Varsity Technologies designs and implements a server consolidation/virtualization and SAN project at Charles Armstrong School. The resulting IT infrastructure improves performance and reliability, simplifies management, and decreases costs, power consumption and environmental impact.
July 2008: Glide Foundation selects Varsity Technologies to design and implement the upgrade to their core network infrastructure in order to improve performance, reliability and security. Glide provides meals for those in need, as well as services for women and families, health and housing services, and employment training and assistance.
